Lycopersicon lycopersicum 58 days. Brilliant red, 1 1/2 inch, very slightly elongated, round fruit.
Determinate, compact, mounding plants produce extremely heavy harvests of smooth-skinned fruit. One of the earliest tomatoes to ripen. If cool weather or short growing seasons make successful tomato cultivation challenging, the Sub Arctic series is for you. Supposedly developed in the 1940s to provide the US Air Force with fresh tomatoes while stationed in Greenland.
