Each summer, our farm crew spends hundreds of hours weeding and grooming our certified organic research and seed production fields and under these conditions, a tool's quality (or shortcomings) shows itself pretty fast. We have used many different tools over the years and never has there been such excitement over a line of had tools. Extra-long handles are designed to increase reach and to reduce back and neck strain. The razor-sharp, hand-forged, steel blades are practically indestructible. In total, these commercial/grower-quality tools turn cultivating into a smooth, almost effortless motion. Price note: These will probably be some of the most expensive tools you'll ever buy. They are imported from Holland and are made by the best tool hand-forger in Europe. The handles are hand-sorted ash hardwood, the strongest wood for tools.

This rake quickly uproots and cultivates garden beds with its 9, heavy-duty, hand-forged, diamond shaped tines. After you have softened the top 2 inches of soil, the straight neck design allows you to flip the rake over to flatten the top surface. Head is 4 inches by 16 1/2 inches, and the overall length is 70 inches.
