2-2-2 What is Frass? Frass is insect poop! Derived from farm-raised, herbivore insects, this 100% organic, sustainable fertilizer is ideal for all stages of plant growth. Contains beneficial bacteria and protozoa, trace minerals, disease suppressive fungi, and non-calcified Chitin. Chitin triggers a plant's own natural defense system, enabling it to defend itself against pests and pathogens. An excellent fungal food for compost teas, it can also be used in hydroponic systems, foliar applications, or as a soil amendment. Application rate of 1 teaspoon per gallon of water to 1 pound per 20 square feet of topsoil.
